maybe there's no better way to start a golden and sunny autumn morning around graz with a quick morning coffee at kaiser-josef-platz, followed by a ride up to the sommeralm via brandlucken.

not easy but worth the effort!

rehydrate and refill your empty carbohydrate or whatsoever reservoirs e.g. at the holdahüttn (on the downhill section from sommeralm after approx. 2k on the left side!)

via arzberg the beautiful gollersattel is as always a pleasure. so is the way up to angerkreuz via hammersbergweg.

on the far side of the schöckl after some ups and downs we recommend theisslwirt for a refreshing stop…

keep your eyes on the streets. the downhill to martinelli is a little bit tricky.

the way via hohenberg to rinnegg is one of our all time favourites.

and the following downhill part back to graz is pure fun.

enjoy your after ride drink/beer and some seafood delivered from sofisch at the finish line at kaiser-josef-platz!

if you are ok with sommeralm and gollersattel, but angerkreuz is not your thing on that day.

just head to st. radegund and rinnegg. and back to graz.

sometimes less (altitude) is more! or at least enough.

if you prefer to take it easier in autumn, just ride to arzberg and the highly attractive gollersattel via kreuzberg and st. radegund/rinnegg back to graz.
